Vitamin Mix 2

Tasty Kale Chips

Kale chips is something you can enjoy as a snack or share with your kids. A good way to get your kids to start eating Kale and liking it.




1 bunch of Kale or 2
Cut or tear the leaves off the stem
Cut Kale into medium pieces 
Wash and dry with a paper towel
Spread the pieces of Kale over a baking pan
Do not overlap-keep pieces separated
Drizzle a little olive oil
Sprinkle Kosher salt or Sea salt
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Bake for 10-15 minutes until crispy

Note: 
You can make your Kale chips spicy using different spices and herbs. 
You can squeeze fresh lemon over them. 
You can use almond butter instead of olive oil. 
Serve with ketchup or dip in spicy sauce
It's endless as to what you can add to your Kale chips. Be creative!

Veggie Juice




Blender:
1 bunch of Broccoli
1 Green Apple-do not peel-cut into 4's
1 Lemon-peel
3-4 slices of Pineapple
Add cup of ice
Add water
Blend 5-8 minutes

If using a juicer do not peel the lemon nor the apple.

Cooking Oils and Butters

Everyone has their own brands of cooking oil and butters they use. I like to share mine with you. 

I love Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It smells so good! 
I have this thing where if the olive oil smells like real olives then you bought a good brand.

      



My favorite brand of butter, "I can't believe It's not Butter." Comes in regular flavor, olive oil, light or creamy.

Cactus Detox Smoothie

 Cactus is a cleanser and good for the immune system.  Be aware when blending, it may appear thick therefore it works well with water based fruits and vegetables.

1 piece of Cactus plant
1 Lemon-peel
4 pieces of Pineapple
1 Orange-peel
Add cup of ice
Add cup of water 
Blend 5-10 minutes

Note: You can find the Cactus plant any local Mexican fruit and vegetable market.

Not everyone drink but some of us like to enjoy a nice organic, gluten free drink every once and awhile.

I absolutely love this gluten and 120 calorie beer. Although, I have not tried the Pear flavor the Cidre is AMAZING!!

Vodka is my choice of liquor therefore when I want to enjoy a nice cocktail, I ride with Rain Organic gluten free vodka, LOVE it!

For those who enjoy dark liquor and margaritas try Sauza Tequila Gold.

Pleasure Snacks

Let's keep it real, we all have cravings. We can still enjoy good delicious tasting snacks without feeling guilty with my choices below! .

Graham Crackers
Cool Whip 
You can use different flavors of cool whip if you like
Use the whole graham cracker or break into 2's. 
Make a sandwich
Freeze in the freezer for an hour.
Just like eating an ice cream sandwich.
 Another snack favorite of mine. The BEST gluten free ice cream on the PLANET! The flavors are authentic and the taste is AMAZING!!!

My all time weakness is potato chips. I had to find chips that were a little more healthy than Lays. Veggie chips are the best! Sometimes I put hot sauce on them or dip in homemade guacamole.

Trip Juice

I made this recipe up while on vacation.  My best friend’s mom, was constipated. She had been constipated for a number of days. She went for a walk/run, took a Gas X, drank tons of water, and even tried using that Chinese tea that makes you go but nothing worked.  The last day of my visit, she was feeling horrible and seriously uncomfortable. I saw that my friend had a really good blender on her kitchen counter. So, I thought to myself; I can make her something natural that might work.  My friend had all the right ingredients in her refrigerator so I started pulling veggies out.



                                           I came up with:

Cut in half-Green Bell Pepper

Cut in half-Orange Bell Pepper

Small cup of -Spinach

1 Tomato

3 Carrots

1 Lemon-Peel

1 whole Jalapeno pepper 
Add cup of ice
Cup of water
Blend for 10 minutes
 


Hey, we were desperate, LOL. Believe it or not, it was not bad at all!! We all drank it with her in support of her. Personally, I drank a little because my plane was leaving in two hours and there was no way I was traveling with a poop problem.  By the time I made it home, she had made it home too, LOL. Try it, it works!!!
